Built from the trees that fell.

JAW's Custom Wood & Interiors — bars, fences, shelves, desks, boards, and trim milled and built by hand by Justus Alexander Weisensel.

— The Practice

Most slabs come from trees that fell in a Florida storm or a St. Pete yard clearing. We mill it, dry it, and build it. High quality, recycled, and built to last.

The wood tells you what to build.

Justus Alexander Weisensel has been milling and building from downed Florida hardwood since Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Most of the wood — Cuban mahogany, rosewood, cedar, oak — comes from yards and storm clearings across St. Petersburg, then milled, dried, and worked by hand.

Black walnut is the exception. It doesn't grow this far south, so when a client requests it, Justus sources logs through a small local supplier that brings them down from an Amish community up north. Honest sourcing, every time.
